The arrow of time
Physical processes at the microscopic level are believed to be either entirely or mostly time-symmetric: if the direction of time were to reverse, the theoretical statements that describe them would remain true. Yet at the macroscopic level it often appears that this is not the case: there is an obvious direction (or flow) of time.
impermanence’s power
The best grammar for thinking about the world is that of change, not of permanence. Not of being, but of becoming.
Fossil Watches
For the technically curious, the full lighting setup consisted essentially of 1 speedlight and a diffusion panel placed overhead. The camera body used was a Fujifilm X-T3, and the Fujinon 80mm F2.8 Macro was the lens of choice. The whole shoot was done tethered to Capture 1, which greatly helped simplify the capture and review process.
